Pipe Shop is an a Cappella quartet in the barbershop style. All of the members have many years of experience singing in quartets and choruses and everyone are members of the International Barbershop Harmony Society. Our lead Marty Muhall, an engineer, is the director of the Middletown Razor’s Edge chorus. Fred Aller, our tenor, also an engineer, is also a member of the Razor’s Edge chorus. Our baritone is David Short, an IT specialist, who is a member of both the Dayton chapter and the Southern Gateway chorus. Jim Fry, a Physician Assistant, is our bass and a member of both the Southern Gateway and Razor’s Edge choruses. Pipe Shop sings a variety of music from gospel, ballads, rock-a-billy, Broadway and, of course, traditional barbershop tunes.
